Description

Explore the highest active volcano in Europe from a privileged point of view: your e-mountain bike. Climb the slopes and the lava fields of Mount Etna with greater ease!

Cyclists seeking an adventurous, off-road encounter on Mount Etna will delight in this halfday excursion, which will reveal the wonders of this amazing volcano. Climb on your electric mountain bike and take a look at the marvels of Mount Etna that cannot be seen from the road. We’ll cross age-old lava fields and the more recent lava flows which gives you an idea of the destructive force of nature on the volcano. We’ll also ride through on of the most splendid oak tree woods on Etna, the Cerrita. Then we’ll climb on our sturdy ebikes and cycle with great ease to Rifugio Citelli, where we can stop for a break and get a closer view of the summit active craters.

  • E-Bike MTB rental (professional bikes with disk brakes, tubeless wheelset, air suspension fork, Shimano groupset etc.)
  • Bike accessories (helmet, repair kit etc.)

  • Transfers from Milo to excursion starting point, when necessary

What to wear and bring with you:

A small backpack/rucksack for your personal items (you can leave this in the van if you don’t want to take it with you during the excursion).

Comfortable clothes suitable for biking (bike gloves, padded shorts, etc), a rain/wind jacket

A change of clothes in case it rains

Closed shoes e.g. trainers or biking shoes (no flip-flops or sandals)

Sunglasses & sun cream

A camera or smartphone if you want to take photos
